He adopted the pseudonym Jos\u00e9 Falero in honor of his mother, from whom he inherited his artistic streak, but not her surname. He is a writer, and made his literary debut in 2019 with the book of short stories    <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Vila Sapo<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (Todavia, 2022). He published the novel  <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Os supridores<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (Todavia, 2020), winner of the Alcides Maia Trophy in the Long Narrative category and the AGES Book of the Year Award, in addition to being a finalist for the Jabuti Award in the Literary Novel category and the S\u00e3o Paulo Literature Award in the Best Debut Novel category. He also published a collection of chronicles  <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mas em que mundo tu vive?<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (Todavia, 2021). In 2020, he received the Jacarand\u00e1 Award for New Author. In 2023, he received the title of Emeritus Citizen of Porto Alegre.
